ArtDepot艺术仓库欣然宣布将于2023年9月2日于北京798空间呈现独家代理艺术家惠唯个展「小丑不丑」。展览将展出20幅（组）艺术家的架上作品，并同步于户外七星东街公共空间及展厅内呈现7件雕塑作品，展览着重呈现“艺术魔法师”惠唯的魔幻世界中的万种畅想，使观者仿佛穿梭于充满无限可能、天马行空的梦境。

ArtDepot is pleased to announce that we will present artist Hui Wei's solo "Joker Not Joking" at our Beijing 798 Space on September 2, 2023. The exhibition will exhibit 20 paintings, and simultaneously present 7 sculptures in the outdoor public space of Qixing East Street and in the gallery. The show presents various imaginations in the magical world of "art magician" Hui Wei, making viewers travel to a dreamland full of infinite possibilities.

惠唯在其创作中暗示了其对灵魂的两面性的探究。魔术师的爱好让他深谙真与假、虚与实的对应关系，这也让他在作品中以具象式的形象融合出一个充满奇思异想的魔法世界。

Hui Wei hints at the exploration of the soul's duality in these works. His role as a magician makes him well-versed in the corresponding relationship between truths and falsehood, fiction and reality, which also allows him to integrate a magical world full of whimsy with symbolic images in his works.

Tammy的幻想 64 X 38 cm 布面油画 2023

在这一秘境中，安静缄默的Timmy与烂漫活泼的Tammy总是结伴而行，似同一人互补的两面，共同踏入未知。这一叙事与画面中红与黑的对抗，无不构成了惠唯对内心的那些双面情绪的探讨。在单一个体的小世界里，似乎每个人都有像Timmy与Tammy的那一面，而心灵的AB面就像牌面之上的红与黑，总是相伴相生，共同构建每个人在茫茫宇宙中的奇幻冒险。

In this secret world, quiet Timmy and energetic Tammy always go together like two complementary sides of someone, stepping into the unknown. This narrative and the confrontation between red and black in the frame constitute his thoughts on those double-sided emotions. For individuals, it seems that everyone has both sides like Timmy and Tammy, and the AB side of a soul is like the red and black on the card, always accompanying each other, and jointly building one's life adventure.
