伯年艺术空间欣然宣布，将于7月20日至8月18日推出艺术家林文捷在中国的首个展“观景人”。本次展览由王垚力担任策展人，集中呈现艺术家新近创作的布面及纸面丙烯拼贴绘画作品。
本次展览呈现的作品，是林文捷尝试突破过去一贯以刻画人物为主体的方式，重新思考将人置于风景中的重要作品。自创作以来，林文捷将目光始终投注在与自我产生情感共鸣的人与物。她喜爱用一种亲密的旁观者的视角，观察周遭人们如何在当下的空间和环境中做出反应。通过绘画，将触动自身却无法言喻的感受和状态，转译并留在画面中。

林文捷的绘画以肖像画和风景画为主要创作题材。在中央美术学院第三工作室学习油画期间，她曾着重探究过对灰色的使用。而后她独自前往法国留学，并旅居法国数十年，作品呈现的色彩则变得更为鲜亮。她敏感且诚实地在创作中表现着由环境变化对其绘画方式的改变。而由他者视角所观察到的画面中的人物，也因此呈现出最为自然和鲜活的状态。

BONIAN SPACE is pleased to announce the first solo exhibition, Promeneur, by artist Lin Wenjie, from July 20 to August 18, 2024. Curated by Wang Yaoli, the exhibition features the artist's recent acrylic collage paintings on canvas and paper.
The works presented in this exhibition are important pieces where Lin attempts to break away from her usual focus on depicting figures and rethink the placement of people within landscapes. Since beginning her artistic journey, Lin has consistently drawn inspiration from people and objects that resonate emotionally with her. She enjoys observing how those around her react to their immediate environment and space from an intimate bystander's perspective. Through her paintings, she rephrases and preserves the indescribable emotions and states that move her.

Lin primarily focuses on portraits and landscapes in her paintings. While studying oil painting in the Third Studio at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, she explored the use of gray tones in depth. Later, Lin went to study in France and lived there for decades, which resulted in her works displaying much brighter colors. She sensitively and honestly reflects the changes in her painting style brought about by different environments. Consequently, the figures observed from an outsider's perspective in her paintings appear in their most natural and vibrant state.

Lin is happy to talk about how Hockney's attitude toward life deeply influenced her, and she never shies away from sincerely conveying her positivity and optimism in her work. Just as portrait, landscape, and still-life appear brighter against a grayscale background, Lin Wenjie's works challenge our insight into life, guiding us to think about the essence of seeing.

Wang Yaoli
王垚力，策展人、写作者、媒体人，伯年艺术空间总监，现生活和工作于北京。硕士毕业于美国纽约视觉艺术学院策展实践专业；本科毕业于美国迈阿密大学，主修艺术史专业，辅修心理学和日语。长期关注青年艺术家创作和当代艺术市场发展。其专业研究方向，聚焦后人类语境下的生态及生物科技发展动向和当下社会中的地缘性民俗文化与神话学。曾策划的项目多发生于北京、上海、纽约和迈阿密。
